LOSS OF A CHILD

Faith’s Lodge Child Loss Retreats  A variety of different retreats offered year-round where grieving families can find support, resources and hope when they are ready.

While We’re Waiting  Faith based retreats and support groups for bereaved parents.

Compassionate Friends  Annual conference and support groups for parents who have lost any age child.

Star Legacy Foundation  Virtual Support Groups for bereaved parents with any perinatal loss.

LOSS OF A SPOUSE

Next Chapter Retreat for Widows  In person, various dates throughout the year.  Intimate healing retreat for 4 widows, hosted by Ron Gray & Anne-Marie Lockmyer.

Camp Widow  Weekend and one day events, various locations.  This program provides practical tools and resources for widowed persons rebuilding their lives in the aftermath of the death of a spouse or partner.

Modern Widow  Virtual and in person support groups and communities.

LOSS OF A PARENT

Camp Sunrise  Annual weekend camp that is free for children ages 6 to 17, who have suffered the loss of a loved one.

National Alliance for Grieving Children

If you are supporting a child who is grieving, they can connect you to resources and local support. The alliance is a national organization of professionals dedicated to supporting children and the networks and communities surrounding them.

 Comfort Zone Camps  Comfort zone camps are for children who are dealing with all kinds of grief. Death of parent, sibling or any type loss.

Teen Grief  This is a site to let teens connect with other teens for support.

Camp Erin  Camp Erin is the largest national bereavement program for youth grieving the death of a significant person in their lives.

Children and teens ages 6-17 attend a transformational weekend camp that combines traditional, fun camp activities with grief education and emotional support, free of charge for all families. Led by grief professionals and trained volunteers, Camp Erin provides a unique opportunity for youth to increase levels of hope, enhance self-esteem, and especially to learn that they are not alone.
